Hello,

I hope you are having a lovely December and finding time to relax in this busy season. I have had a week of Flu and therefore I’ve been unable to get into my studio and spend time working on Decembers project. I had hoped to create more work around the winter garden monoprints to share with you and I am looking forward to continuing soon but in the meantime I wished to share a couple of festive projects that you can try out.

These festive decorations are a little introduction to monoprinting and I have found them really enjoyable to design and make at home, both on my own and as a family.

Monoprinting is a printmaking process where you can produces a single, one-off print from a prepared surface. Many of the printmaking processes or techniques create what is often called an edition (multiple) of prints such a lino, woodblock, screen print and etching but mono printing creates one single unique print by transferring ink from a flat surface onto paper.
