Welcome to my studio

My name is Rachel Sim and I’m a visual artist and educator with a love for colour, texture and pattern.

I grew up on the coast of Scotland and now live in Yorkshire with my partner and two children —both places have shaped how I see and respond to the world around me and are constant inspiration for my printmaking and painting practice.

Alongside my studio work, I also run workshops for families, school children, and adults—sharing processes, ideas, and ways of working that encourage curiosity, creativity, and a hands-on approach to art. I regularly lead workshops at The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, among other venues.
